Introduction to IIT Srl
IIT Srlwas founded in 1976 and since that date its main field of concern is the design, engineering and construction of plants and equipment for the production of surfactants to be used in the detergent, cosmetic, textile and chemical industries.
In 2001, IIT Srl signed an alliance with The Chemithon Corporation and, using the best technologies of both companies, the new entity IIT Srl offers combined products and services in appropriate and convenient formats for the European market in the same area of Europe, North Africa and Middle East.

Products
On the basis of its own "know-how", IIT Srl can supply a wide range of complete sulfonation plants or any related single equipment or unit, namely:
- Continuous film sulfonation plants with gaseous SO3 diluted in dry air or inert gas (N2 or CO2) for the processing of raw materials such as alkybenzene, fatty alcohols, tallow alcohols, ethoxylated alcohols, alfa olefins, methylesters and so on
- Gaseous SO3 production units starting from either SO2, liquid SO3, or oleum
- SO3 production equipment from sulfur combustion
- Heat recovery equipment for sulfur combustion plants
- Multitube type falling film sulfonation reactors with air for protection against carbonization
- Neutralization units for the processing of low and high concentration products (SLES 70%)
- Centrifugal type high shear mixers
- Electrostatic precipitators for the removal of organic substance mists from gaseous effluents
- Equipment for washing away gaseous effluents from SO2 and SO3
- Equipment for processing special products, such as AOS, methylesters, and so on
- Chemithon systems
