Technical Services Overview

Chemithon’s staff of Chemical, Mechanical and Electrical/Instrumentation Engineers and experienced equipment service technicians are available under contract to provide a wide range of technical services on Sulfonation plant systems and on Environmental Equipment systems. The following lists examples of the projects that we can perform (not all-inclusive):

Plant Audits: In a typical project, a Chemithon engineer visits the customer’s plant to monitor its operation and operator proficiency, status of the process equipment, spare parts stores, and recent history of the plant operation. The engineer prepares a report as part of the scope of work to describe observations and call attention to specific items that may require remediation, including such things as operator training, equipment maintenance, control system adjustments, spare parts stocks, and etc., providing specific recommendations for improvements. The engineer also takes action to correct any problems that directly impact on plant safety, process performance, and equipment maintenance, if authorized to do so.

Engineering Studies: Projects may be commissioned to meet a wide variety of customer needs, for example defining modifications to a plant to enable production of a new product or to increase its production capacity, or to update the process control system to new technology. There are endless possibilities. Chemithon will gather necessary information, visiting the plant site if necessary, and employ its technical staff of engineers and designers to prepare the necessary drawings, calculations, equipment specifications, and organize these into a report form. Results are presented to the customer and reviewed to insure Chemithon has fully responded to the need.

Training Services: Chemithon has developed thorough training programs for the operating and support staff for plant systems that we sell and service. At the customer’s request, Chemithon will prepare a specialized training program tailored to the customer’s operation and process equipment system, and will conduct both classroom and in plant training. Maintenance training is also available for plant service technicians.

Troubleshooting: When process problems occur, Chemithon’s technical staff is available to assist with problem identification and correction. Our technical personnel can travel to the plant site on short notice and have been very successful troubleshooting problems and planning fast and effective corrective measures.

Specialized Maintenance: Chemithon equipment technicians are available to provide assistance in set up, cleaning, and maintenance of Sulfonation reactors and to service other process equipment requiring specialized training. Chemithon also offers maintenance contracts for the Sulfonation and Environmental Systems that we sell.
